Julie Shah Lamba from Philadephia, PA contacted us looking to build a site to accompany her weekly newsletter (The VegPost) and we were excited to take on the project. The brief called for a simple, clean layout with a focus on the photography and content. We believed a responsive layout would be ideal for the site since more and more home cooks are using iPads and other mobile devices in the kitchen. Julie agreed. We worked on the project from the rebranding of "VegPost" to the design, development and launch of the site. Julie couldn't be happier with the results. The site is based on a responsive grid and built atop ExpressionEngine. Julie can manage the entire site from publishing blog posts and recipes all the way to managing the homepage and a-list. We're using the beautiful and versatile FF Tisa Web Pro from Typekit throughout the site. Since FF Tisa doesn't take itself too seriously it plays nicely with the icons from Kyle Steed (http://steedicons.com). A customized version of Less Framework serves as the base for the responsive layout.
